Amoxking Lb 625 Tablet is used for bacterial infection, throat infection, chest infection, skin infection. Prescription required.
Monograph
Amoxking LB 625 Tablet is a prescription medicine containing Clavulanic Acid (125mg) + Amoxicillin (500mg) + Lactic Acid Bacillus (60Million Spores). It is used for bacterial infection, throat infection, chest infection, skin infection, urinary infection, digestive problems, loose motions, restoring gut bacteria and stomach protection. It belongs to the group of medicines called Penicillin and Gut protective / probiotic.
Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. The dose and how long you take it depend on what you are being treated for and how you respond. Do not take more, or for longer, than your doctor has advised.
The side effects seen most often with Amoxking LB 625 Tablet are loose motions, nausea, rash and vomiting. Most are mild and settle as the body gets used to the medicine. Tell your doctor if one persists or worries you.
Before you start, tell your doctor about any liver, kidney or heart problem, whether you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding, and every other medicine you take, including supplements and ayurvedic preparations. Some of them can change how Amoxking LB 625 Tablet works.
Most side effects of Amoxking LB are mild and settle as the body gets used to the medicine. The ones reported most often are:
Stop the medicine and get help at once for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.
Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not chew, crush or break it unless your doctor has told you to. Take it with or just after food. Taking it at about the same time each day helps you remember. Follow the dose and the duration written on your prescription.
This medicine combines 3 active ingredients: Clavulanic Acid, Amoxycillin and Lactobacillus. Clavulanic Acid kills the bacteria causing your infection by breaking down the wall they need to survive. Amoxycillin kills the bacteria causing your infection by breaking down the wall they need to survive. Lactobacillus supports the lining and the natural bacteria of the gut, helping digestion settle back to normal.
Finish the whole course even after you feel better. Stopping early lets the strongest bacteria survive, and they are the ones that come back resistant. Stop and seek emergency care for swelling of the face or throat, difficulty breathing, or a widespread rash — a penicillin allergy can be serious. Tell every doctor and pharmacist if you have ever reacted to penicillin. Tell your doctor if loose motions become severe or watery, or continue after the course — this needs attention rather than an anti-diarrhoeal. Antibiotics do not work against colds, flu or most sore throats, which are caused by viruses. Loose motions with high fever, blood in the stool or severe abdominal pain need a doctor, not a home remedy. Oral rehydration salts and fluids matter more than any medicine when you have loose motions — dehydration is the real danger, especially in children and older people. Take a probiotic a couple of hours apart from an antibiotic so the antibiotic does not simply kill it. Do not use an anti-motility medicine such as loperamide if you have a fever or blood in the stool.
Take it as soon as you remember. If your next dose is almost due, skip the one you missed — never take two doses together to catch up.
An overdose of this medicine can cause vomiting, severe loose motions and, rarely, fits. It may cause bloating and loose motions. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.
Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight. Some probiotic preparations ask to be refrigerated — follow the pack. Keep out of the reach of children.
