Amoxicillin (as amoxicillin trihydrate) 600 mg + Clavulanic acid (as potassium clavulanate) 42.9 mg per 5 mL oral suspension
Treatment of susceptible bacterial infections, especially in children: acute otitis media, acute bacterial sinusitis, community-acquired pneumonia/lower respiratory tract infections, tonsillitis/pharyngitis, skin and soft tissue infections as advised by doctor
Amoxicillin is a penicillin antibiotic that kills bacteria by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis. Clavulanic acid inhibits beta-lactamase enzymes produced by some bacteria, protecting amoxicillin from breakdown and broadening its activity.
Oral suspension: Shake well before each use. Measure dose with a calibrated spoon/oral syringe as prescribed (dose based on child’s weight and infection severity). Usually given every 12 hours; preferably at the start of a meal to reduce stomach upset. Complete the full prescribed course.

Prescription-only antibiotic. Do not use in patients with allergy to penicillins/cephalosporins or history of severe hypersensitivity. Stop and seek medical help if signs of anaphylaxis or severe skin reaction occur. Use with caution in liver disease; monitor if prolonged therapy (risk of hepatitis/cholestatic jaundice). Dose adjustment may be needed in renal impairment. Antibiotics can cause C. difficile-associated diarrhoea—seek care for severe/persistent diarrhoea. Not for viral infections.
