Digeplex Syrup is used for relief of indigestion (dyspepsia), acidity/heartburn, gas and bloating; used as a digestive aid after meals.
Medically reviewed by Dr. Balaji Krishnan, MBBS · Updated September 2026
Digestion/antacid syrups typically work by neutralizing excess stomach acid and improving digestive function, thereby reducing heartburn and epigastric discomfort. Some formulations also reduce gas formation and relieve abdominal bloating.
Shake well before use. Take the prescribed dose by mouth, usually after meals and/or at bedtime. Use the measuring cup/spoon; follow doctor/pharmacist advice for duration.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
Take the missed dose of Digeplex as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.
Taking more Digeplex than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Digeplex are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Do not use for prolonged periods without medical advice. Consult a doctor if symptoms persist, recur frequently, or are associated with weight loss, persistent vomiting, blood in stools/vomit, or severe abdominal pain. Use with caution in kidney disease and in patients on a sodium-restricted diet (if the product contains sodium salts).
May reduce absorption of certain medicines; keep a 2–4 hour gap with antibiotics (tetracyclines/fluoroquinolones), iron, levothyroxine, and some antifungals. Other interactions depend on exact composition.
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct light. Keep the bottle tightly closed. Keep out of reach of children.
