How Escitalovis 5 Tablet works

How to take Escitalovis 5 Tablet

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take it as soon as you remember. If your next dose is almost due, skip the one you missed — never take two doses together to catch up.

Warnings and precautions

Risk of serotonin syndrome (agitation, fever, tremor, diarrhea), QT prolongation/irregular heartbeat (higher risk with heart disease, low potassium/magnesium or QT-prolonging drugs). Use caution in bipolar disorder/mania, epilepsy, liver impairment, glaucoma, bleeding disorders, and in elderly (hyponatremia/falls).

Do not take Escitalovis if

Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Must not be combined with a monoamine oxidase inhibitor, or started within the gap your doctor specifies after one.

Interactions with other medicines

MAO inhibitors (contraindicated), linezolid/methylene blue, other serotonergic drugs (triptans, tramadol, lithium, SSRIs/SNRIs), anticoagulants/antiplatelets/NSAIDs (increased bleeding risk), QT-prolonging medicines (e.g., amiodarone, sotalol, certain antipsychotics/macrolides), CNS depressants/alcohol, CYP2C19 inhibitors (e.g., omeprazole) may increase levels
