Keeclox LS Capsule is a combination of two antibiotics (Amoxycillin and Cloxacillin), a probiotic (Lactobacillus) and an enzyme (Serratiopeptidase). Both antibiotics work by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering that is essential for the survival of bacteria in the human body. This treats your infection, but may upset your digestive system by killing healthy gut bacteria as well. Probiotics are added to restore the balance of healthy bacteria. Serratiopeptidase works by breaking down abnormal proteins at the site of inflammation, and promotes healing.

How to take Keeclox-Ls Capsule

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Keeclox LS Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine can cause vomiting, severe loose motions and, rarely, fits. It may cause bloating and loose motions. It can seriously suppress the bone marrow and damage the liver. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Most side effects of Keeclox-Ls are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

Warnings and precautions

Finish the whole course even after you feel better. Stopping early lets the strongest bacteria survive, and they are the ones that come back resistant. Stop and seek emergency care for swelling of the face or throat, difficulty breathing, or a widespread rash — a penicillin allergy can be serious. Tell every doctor and pharmacist if you have ever reacted to penicillin. Tell your doctor if loose motions become severe or watery, or continue after the course — this needs attention rather than an anti-diarrhoeal. Antibiotics do not work against colds, flu or most sore throats, which are caused by viruses. Loose motions with high fever, blood in the stool or severe abdominal pain need a doctor, not a home remedy. Oral rehydration salts and fluids matter more than any medicine when you have loose motions — dehydration is the real danger, especially in children and older people. Take a probiotic a couple of hours apart from an antibiotic so the antibiotic does not simply kill it. Several of these medicines must not be used in pregnancy.

Interactions with other medicines

May reduce the reliability of the oral contraceptive pill if you have vomiting or loose motions — use additional precautions during the course. Tell your doctor if you take methotrexate or a blood thinner. Antibiotics reduce the effect of probiotics taken at the same time.
