How Mosi Df Eye Drops works

Mosi-DF Eye Drop is a combination of two medicines: Moxifloxacin and Difluprednate. Moxifloxacin is an antibiotic that prevents bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing the bacteria. This treats your eye infection. Difluprednate is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye red, swollen and itchy.

This group can damage tendons, and the risk is higher in older people and with steroids. Report any new numbness, tingling or burning in the hands or feet promptly. Tell your doctor about any change in mood, confusion or agitation. Avoid strong sunlight and use sun protection — this group makes the skin burn more easily. Finish the whole course; this group is heavily associated with antibiotic resistance and should be used only when prescribed. Use it only on the area and for the number of days your doctor specified. Potent steroid creams thin the skin permanently when used for too long. Never use a potent steroid cream on the face, the groin or the underarms unless your doctor has specifically told you to — the skin there is thin and absorbs much more. Do not use it on an infection. A steroid on ringworm, impetigo or herpes makes the infection worse while hiding it. Do not use leftover cream on a new rash, and never pass it to someone else. Stop and see your doctor if the area becomes more painful, weepy or crusted.

Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Generally avoided in children and adolescents, in pregnancy, and in anyone with a history of tendon problems with these antibiotics. Not for untreated bacterial, fungal or viral skin infections. Not for use in or around the eyes.

Antacids, iron, zinc, calcium and milk markedly reduce absorption — separate them by at least two hours. Tell your doctor if you take steroids, a blood thinner or a medicine for heart rhythm. No significant interactions are expected from preparations used on the skin.

Store below 30°C, away from direct sunlight. Discard the bottle one month after you first open it, even if some is left. Keep out of the reach of children.

Stopping it early may make the infection come back and harder to treat. Do not touch the tip to any surface to avoid contamination. Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication to avoid dilution. It may cause short term blurring of vision when first used. Use caution before driving or using machines. Do not wear contact lenses until your infection clears up. Do not use it more often or for longer than advised by your doctor. Inform your doctor if your condition hasn't improved after seven days of treatment. Make sure to use within 4 weeks of opening the bottle.
