Permethrin is a synthetic pyrethroid that paralyzes and kills mites/lice by disrupting their nerve cell sodium channels. This leads to elimination of the parasites and relief from infestation-related itching over time.
For external use only. Wet skin, apply soap to affected areas and lather well; leave on for a few minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Use as directed by a physician (often once daily for a few days along with scabies treatment for close contacts and washing of clothes/linen). Avoid eyes, mouth, and broken skin.
Common side effects of PERMESOL SOAP may include:
Do not use on eyes, mucous membranes, or severely broken/irritated skin. Stop use and seek medical advice if severe irritation, swelling, or allergic reaction occurs. In scabies, itching may persist for 1–2 weeks after successful treatment; do not overuse without medical advice. Use in children, elderly, or patients with extensive dermatitis only under medical supervision.
