How Riscure Forte Tablet works

Riscure Forte 4 mg/2 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Risperidone and Trihexyphenidyl. Risperidone is an atypical antipsychotic that works by balancing the levels of chemical messengers (dopamine and serotonin) to improve mood, thoughts, and behavior. Trihexyphenidyl is an anticholinergic that works on the nervous system and corrects some of the chemical imbalances that cause Parkinson's disease and certain side effects occurring during antipsychotic treatment.

How to take Riscure Forte Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Riscure Forte 4 mg/2 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Riscure Forte 4 mg/2 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine can cause deep drowsiness, a severe fall in blood pressure, abnormal movements and heart rhythm disturbance. It can cause severe confusion, abnormal movements, a very slow pulse and collapse. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.
