How Twagic Tablet works

Twagic SP 100mg/325mg/15mg Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Aceclofenac, Paracetamol, and Serratiopeptidase. Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), and Paracetamol is an antipyretic (fever reducer). They work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause pain and fever. Serratiopeptidase is an enzyme that works by breaking down abnormal proteins at the site of inflammation and helps support healing.

How to take Twagic Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Twagic SP 100mg/325mg/15mg Tablet may be taken with or without food.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Twagic SP 100mg/325mg/15mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine can cause stomach bleeding, kidney failure, drowsiness and fits. It can cause severe and sometimes fatal liver damage, often with no symptoms at all for the first day. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Side effects of Twagic Tablet

Most side effects of Twagic are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

Warnings and precautions

Take it with or just after food, and for the shortest time that works. Stop and seek urgent care for black or tarry stools, vomiting blood, or severe stomach pain — this group can cause bleeding from the stomach. Long or high-dose use raises the risk of heart attack, stroke and kidney injury, particularly in older people and those already at risk. Avoid if you are dehydrated or have an illness with vomiting or loose motions — the kidneys are vulnerable then. Must be avoided in the last three months of pregnancy. Never exceed the daily maximum printed on the pack. Paracetamol overdose damages the liver, and the damage can be silent for a day or two before it becomes serious. Check every other medicine you are taking. Paracetamol is in a very large number of cold, flu and pain combinations, and the doses add together. If you drink alcohol regularly, or have liver disease, ask your doctor what daily limit is safe for you. See a doctor if fever lasts more than three days, or pain more than five.

Do not take Twagic if

Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Not for people with an active stomach ulcer, severe kidney or heart failure, or asthma triggered by aspirin or anti-inflammatory painkillers. Not in the third trimester of pregnancy. Not for people with severe liver disease, except under medical supervision.

Interactions with other medicines

Combining with a blood thinner or aspirin sharply raises the bleeding risk. Reduces the effect of blood pressure medicines and water tablets, and together with them can harm the kidneys. Never take two anti-inflammatory painkillers at the same time. Regular alcohol use increases the risk of liver injury. Tell your doctor if you are on warfarin — regular high-dose paracetamol can affect it.

Store below 30°C in the original pack, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.

Do not take Twagic SP 100mg/325mg/15mg Tablet with other medicines containing paracetamol (acetaminophen), such as some cold or fever medicines, unless advised by your doctor. Avoid alcohol while taking Twagic SP 100mg/325mg/15mg Tablet, as it may increase stomach irritation and the risk of liver damage. Twagic SP 100mg/325mg/15mg Tablet may cause dizziness or drowsiness, so avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how it affects you. Stay well hydrated while using Twagic SP 100mg/325mg/15mg Tablet, as dehydration may increase the risk of kidney-related side effects. Inform your doctor if you have kidney disease, heart disease, asthma, stomach ulcers, or uncontrolled high blood pressure before taking Twagic SP 100mg/325mg/15mg Tablet. Seek urgent medical attention if you notice black stools, vomiting blood, severe stomach pain, or unusual bruising. Stop taking Twagic SP 100mg/325mg/15mg Tablet and seek medical help if you develop rash, swelling of the face, or breathing difficulty. Use Twagic SP 100mg/325mg/15mg Tablet only for the duration prescribed, and consult your doctor if pain, swelling, or fever persists despite treatment. Tell your doctor if you are taking blood thinners, steroids, or certain antidepressants that may increase bleeding risk.
