Amoxicillin 200 mg + Clavulanic acid 28.5 mg per 5 ml (oral suspension)
Bacterial infections such as ear (otitis media), sinusitis, throat/tonsil infections, chest/lung infections (bronchitis, pneumonia), urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, dental infections caused by susceptible organisms
Amoxicillin is a penicillin antibiotic that kills bacteria by inhibiting cell wall synthesis. Clavulanic acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that protects amoxicillin from breakdown by resistant bacteria, improving its effectiveness.
Oral suspension: shake well before each dose. Measure with a calibrated spoon/cup/syringe and give the dose as prescribed by the doctor, preferably at the start of a meal to reduce stomach upset. Complete the full course; do not stop early even if symptoms improve.

Prescription-only antibiotic; use only for confirmed/suspected bacterial infections. Do not use in patients with allergy to penicillins/cephalosporins or past severe hypersensitivity. Use with caution in liver disease (may cause liver enzyme rise/jaundice) and kidney impairment (dose adjustment may be needed). Stop and seek medical help if severe rash, breathing difficulty, swelling, severe diarrhoea (possible C. difficile), or signs of liver problems occur. May cause false-positive urine glucose tests; inform the lab.
