Composition

Cefpodoxime proxetil 200 mg + Clavulanic acid 125 mg (tablet)

Uses of ZERAPOD CV TAB

Treatment of susceptible bacterial infections such as acute bacterial sinusitis, acute otitis media, community-acquired pneumonia/bronchitis exacerbations, urinary tract infections, and skin & soft tissue infections.

How it works

Cefpodoxime is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis leading to bacterial death. Clavulanic acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that protects cefpodoxime from degradation by beta-lactamase–producing bacteria, improving coverage against resistant strains.

Directions for use

Oral tablet. Take exactly as prescribed by the doctor, usually with food to reduce stomach upset and improve absorption. Swallow whole with water; do not stop early even if you feel better; complete the full course.
