Relief of pain and inflammation after eye surgery (e.g., cataract surgery); treatment of ocular inflammation where a topical NSAID is indicated

Bromfenac is a topical non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It inhibits cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes, reducing prostaglandin formation in the eye and thereby decreasing inflammation and pain.

For ophthalmic use only. Instill the prescribed number of drops into the affected eye(s) as advised by the doctor, usually 1 drop once or twice daily. Wash hands before use; avoid touching the dropper tip; wait 5–10 minutes between different eye medicines; remove contact lenses before instillation and reinsert only if advised.

Transient burning/stinging, eye irritation, redness, blurred vision, watery eyes, itching, foreign body sensation, headache

Use only under ophthalmologist supervision, especially after eye surgery. Do not use if allergic to bromfenac/other NSAIDs or if you have had asthma/urticaria with aspirin/NSAIDs. Prolonged use may delay corneal healing and rarely cause corneal adverse events (keratitis/corneal thinning/ulceration), especially in patients with compromised cornea, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, or repeated ocular surgeries. Use with caution in bleeding disorders or with medicines that increase bleeding risk. Discontinue and seek care if severe pain, vision changes, or worsening redness occurs.

Other topical ophthalmic drugs (space doses), anticoagulants/antiplatelets (may increase bleeding tendency), topical corticosteroids (combined use may increase risk of delayed healing/corneal complications)

Store below 25°C. Protect from light and moisture. Do not freeze. Keep bottle tightly closed; discard as per label/instructions after opening.
