4K Peg + contains Polyethylene Glycol 4000 (Macrogol 4000) (strength unknown).

Constipation (including chronic constipation); softening of stools and relief of difficult/painful bowel movements.

Polyethylene glycol 4000 is an osmotic laxative. It retains water in the intestinal lumen, increasing stool water content and volume, which softens stools and stimulates bowel movements.

Oral powder/granules: dissolve the measured dose in water (or as directed on the label) and drink. Usually taken once daily; may be taken with or without food. Ensure adequate fluid intake; use for the shortest duration needed or as prescribed.

Diarrhoea, abdominal pain/cramps, bloating, flatulence, nausea, vomiting

Do not use in suspected/known intestinal obstruction, perforation, severe inflammatory bowel disease, severe dehydration, or unexplained abdominal pain without medical advice. Stop and consult a doctor if severe diarrhoea, abdominal distension, rectal bleeding, or no improvement occurs. Prolonged use may cause electrolyte imbalance, especially in elderly or those on diuretics. Use with caution in renal impairment and in patients prone to fluid/electrolyte disturbances.

May reduce absorption of other oral medicines if taken at the same time; keep a 2-hour gap from other oral drugs. Caution with diuretics, corticosteroids, or medicines affecting electrolytes (risk of imbalance if diarrhoea occurs).

Store in a cool, dry place at room temperature. Protect from moisture and direct light. Keep container tightly closed and out of reach of children.
