Treatment of susceptible bacterial infections such as lower respiratory tract infections (including pneumonia), ENT infections (sinusitis, otitis media), urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, intra-abdominal infections, bone and joint infections, dental infections, and gynecological infections.

Amoxicillin is a beta-lactam antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis leading to bacterial death. Clavulanic acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that protects amoxicillin from enzymatic breakdown, extending its spectrum against beta-lactamase producing organisms.

Powder for injection/infusion; reconstitute and administer IV (injection/infusion) or deep IM only as directed by a doctor. Dose and duration depend on infection severity and kidney function; complete the full course. May be given with or without food; ensure adequate hydration.

Prescription-only antibiotic; use only for bacterial infections. Contraindicated in patients with history of hypersensitivity to penicillins/cephalosporins or prior amoxicillin-clavulanate–associated cholestatic jaundice/hepatic dysfunction. Use with caution in liver disease, renal impairment (dose adjustment), infectious mononucleosis (rash risk), and history of colitis; monitor for severe diarrhea (C. difficile). Stop and seek care if signs of anaphylaxis, severe skin reactions, or jaundice occur.
