For symptomatic relief of mouth ulcers (aphthous ulcers), oral sores and minor inflammation in the oral cavity.
Forms a protective coating over the ulcer/affected oral mucosa to reduce irritation from food and friction and helps soothe pain. Depending on the formulation, may also provide local anti-inflammatory/analgesic and mild antiseptic action to support healing.
For dental/oral use only. After meals and at bedtime, dry the affected area and apply a small amount directly on the ulcer with a clean finger/cotton bud; avoid rubbing. Do not eat or drink for at least 30 minutes after application. Use 2–4 times daily or as directed by a dentist/doctor.
Temporary burning or stinging, local irritation, altered taste, dryness, numbness, allergic reaction (rash/swelling)
Do not use if allergic to any ingredients. Avoid contact with eyes; do not swallow in large amounts. If ulcer persists beyond 7–10 days, is recurrent, large, associated with fever, or you have difficulty swallowing, consult a doctor/dentist. Use with caution in children; use only under adult supervision. Stop use and seek medical advice if severe irritation, swelling, or signs of infection occur.
No significant systemic interactions expected when used topically in the mouth; however, avoid applying simultaneously with other oral topical medicines unless advised, as barrier pastes can reduce their local absorption/effect.
Store at room temperature (below 25°C), tightly capped. Protect from heat, moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
