Alam Shallaki Liniment is a prescription medicine. It is used for backache, sprain, strain, stiffness and sports injuries. It belongs to the group of medicines called Counterirritant / topical analgesic.
For external use only. The dose and how long you take it depend on what you are being treated for and how you respond. Do not take more, or for longer, than your doctor has advised.
The side effects seen most often with Alam Shallaki Liniment are burning or stinging sensation, redness, itching and skin irritation. Most are mild and settle as the body gets used to the medicine. Tell your doctor if one persists or worries you.
Before you start, tell your doctor about any liver, kidney or heart problem, whether you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding, and every other medicine you take, including supplements and ayurvedic preparations. Some of them can change how Alam Shallaki Liniment works.

Most side effects of Alam Shallaki Liniment are mild and settle as the body gets used to the medicine. The ones reported most often are:
Stop the medicine and get help at once for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.
For external use only. Apply a small quantity on the affected area and gently massage until absorbed, 2-3 times daily or as directed by a physician. Wash hands after use; do not apply on broken/irritated skin or under occlusive bandage unless advised.
Pain-relief liniments generally work as counterirritants by producing a warming or cooling sensation on the skin. This diverts pain signals and increases local blood flow, helping reduce soreness and stiffness.
External use only. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth and mucous membranes. Do not use on cuts, wounds, eczema or infected skin. Stop use and seek medical advice if severe irritation, blistering, allergy, or worsening pain occurs. Keep away from heat/flame if product contains volatile oils. Use with caution in children, elderly and people with sensitive skin. Consult a doctor before use in pregnancy/breastfeeding or if you have chronic joint pain or swelling.
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep container tightly closed and out of reach of children.
