Syrup
Relief of productive (wet) cough, chest congestion, acute/chronic bronchitis, COPD and asthma with mucus, cough associated with respiratory tract infections
Ambroxol is a mucolytic that thins and loosens thick mucus. Guaifenesin is an expectorant that increases hydration of secretions and helps mucus clearance. Levosalbutamol is a bronchodilator (beta-2 agonist) that relaxes airway muscles to ease breathing and reduce wheeze.
Oral syrup. Take as prescribed by doctor; commonly taken 2–3 times daily after food using a measuring cup/spoon. Shake well before use and drink plenty of fluids; do not exceed recommended dose.
Nausea, vomiting, stomach upset, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, tremor, palpitations, nervousness, throat irritation, dry mouth, rash
Use with caution in heart disease, hypertension, arrhythmias, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, glaucoma, and seizure disorders. May cause tremor/palpitations; stop and seek medical help if severe allergy, chest pain, worsening breathing or severe dizziness occurs. Not for dry cough without mucus unless advised. Use caution in children and elderly; dose adjustment may be needed in kidney/liver impairment.
Beta-blockers (e.g., propranolol) may reduce effect; other sympathomimetics may increase side effects. MAO inhibitors/tricyclic antidepressants can increase cardiovascular effects. Diuretics and corticosteroids may increase risk of low potassium; digoxin toxicity risk may increase with hypokalemia. Theophylline may increase stimulatory effects.
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from light. Keep bottle tightly closed and out of reach of children.
