Ambrolite Cold Syrup

Ambrolite Cold Syrup contains Ambroxol.

Symptomatic relief of common cold and cough associated with nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, sore throat and fever/body ache (depends on exact formulation).

Cold-cough combinations typically work by reducing nasal congestion (decongestant action), suppressing cough (antitussive action) and/or loosening mucus (expectorant/mucolytic action). Antihistamines may reduce sneezing and runny nose, while analgesic/antipyretic components help relieve fever and body pain. Exact mechanism depends on the ingredients present.

Take as directed by a physician. Measure the dose with the provided cup/spoon; usually taken 2–3 times daily. Can be taken with or without food; take with food if it causes stomach upset. Do not exceed the recommended dose and do not use for prolonged periods without medical advice.

May cause drowsiness—avoid driving or operating machinery. Use with caution in children, elderly, liver or kidney disease, thyroid disorders, hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, glaucoma, enlarged prostate/urinary retention, and asthma/COPD (depending on ingredients). Do not use with other cold/cough products containing similar ingredients (risk of overdose, especially paracetamol). Seek medical help if symptoms persist >3 days, high fever, rash, breathing difficulty, or worsening cough occurs.

Alcohol and other CNS depressants (increased drowsiness), MAO inhibitors and certain antidepressants (risk of severe reactions with decongestants/dextromethorphan), other antihistamines, other paracetamol-containing products, sedatives, antipsychotics, antiepileptics, warfarin (with prolonged paracetamol use)

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct light. Keep bottle tightly closed. Keep out of reach of children.
