Relief of wet/productive cough, chest congestion, mucus/thick phlegm associated with bronchitis and other respiratory tract infections/allergies

This is typically a combination cough syrup containing a mucolytic/expectorant and an antihistamine. It helps thin and loosen mucus so it can be coughed out more easily, and reduces allergy-related symptoms like runny nose and sneezing.

Shake well before use. Measure with a cup/spoon. Take as advised by the doctor, usually after food; maintain adequate fluid intake. Do not exceed the prescribed dose; for children use only on medical advice.

Drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, stomach upset, diarrhea, headache, rash

May cause drowsiness—avoid driving/operating machinery. Use with caution in liver or kidney disease, asthma/COPD unless prescribed, peptic ulcer disease, glaucoma, prostate enlargement/urinary retention. Do not use with other cough/cold medicines without advice. Seek medical help if cough persists >7 days, high fever, shortness of breath, blood in sputum, or worsening symptoms.

Alcohol and other CNS depressants (increased drowsiness), sedatives/tranquilizers, opioids, other antihistamines, MAO inhibitors/antidepressants (may increase side effects), anticholinergic medicines

Store at room temperature below 25°C, protected from light and moisture. Keep bottle tightly closed. Keep out of reach of children.
