Azithral 500 Tablet is used in the treatment of bacterial infections. It is used in bacterial infections of tonsils, sinus, ear, nose, throat, skin and soft tissues, and lungs (pneumonia).

Azithral 500 Tablet is an antibiotic. It works by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Thus, it stops the bacteria from growing, and prevents the infection from spreading.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Azithral 500 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Use with caution in patients with liver disease, history of jaundice, or arrhythmias. Not recommended for use in patients with known hypersensitivity to azithromycin or other macrolides.

May interact with antacids containing aluminum or magnesium, warfarin, and certain antiarrhythmic medications.

Store at room temperature (20-25°C), away from light and moisture.
