Bandy Plus Suspension

Bandy Plus Suspension contains Ivermectin (1.5mg) + Albendazole (200mg) and is used for worm infections. Prescription required.

Treatment of Worm infections

Bandy-Plus Suspension is a mixture of two medicines: ivermectin and albendazole. Ivermectin works by binding to the muscle and nerve cells of worms, causing their paralysis and death. Albendazole works by preventing the worms from absorbing sugar (glucose), thereby depleting their energy level. This causes the worms to die, thereby treating your child’s infection effectively.

Use this medicine as your doctor has directed. Follow the dose and the duration written on your prescription.

Bandy-Plus Suspension does not pose serious side effects and is well-tolerated by children. In case the side effects do occur, they’re likely to subside once the body adapts to the medicine. Consult your child’s doctor if these side effects persist or bother your child. The most common side effects include-

Treat the whole household at the same time for worm infestations, or reinfection is likely. Wash hands thoroughly after using the toilet and before eating, keep nails short, and wash bedding and underclothes in hot water. Do not drink alcohol with metronidazole, ornidazole, tinidazole or secnidazole. A repeat dose after a couple of weeks is often advised for worms — follow your doctor's instruction.

Tell your doctor if you take anti-epileptic medicines or a blood thinner.

Store below 30°C in the original pack, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
