Cartiquin Tablet contains Hydroxychloroquine (200mg) and is used for rheumatoid arthritis. Prescription required.

Cartiquin 200mg Tablet is a Disease Modifying Anti-Rheumatoid Drug (DMARD). It works by suppressing the overactivity of the immune system that causes inflammation (swelling) and pain in the joints. This slows the progression of the underlying disease. It has also been suggested that hydroxychloroquine may increase insulin sensitivity and improve beta-cell function, thereby improving glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Cartiquin 200mg Tablet should be taken with or after food.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Complete the full course exactly as prescribed. An incomplete course is a common cause of relapse and of resistant malaria. Return to your doctor if fever continues or comes back after treatment. Tell your doctor if you have a heart rhythm problem, or have had one in the family. Some of these medicines are avoided in G6PD deficiency — tell your doctor if you know you have it.

Tell your doctor about heart medicines, anti-epileptics and other antimalarials.

Store below 30°C in the original pack, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
