Treatment of anxiety/panic disorder, seizure disorders such as epilepsy (including absence, myoclonic and akinetic seizures) as prescribed by a doctor

Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine that enhances the effect of GABA, an inhibitory neurotransmitter in the brain. This reduces abnormal nerve activity, producing a calming effect and helping prevent seizures.

Mouth dissolving tablet: place on the tongue and allow it to dissolve; swallow with saliva (water not necessary). Take exactly as prescribed, preferably at the same time each day; with or without food. Do not stop suddenly without medical advice.

Drowsiness, dizziness, fatigue, impaired coordination/ataxia, memory or concentration problems, slurred speech, headache, nausea

May cause sedation, dizziness and impaired coordination—avoid driving or operating machinery. Risk of dependence, misuse and withdrawal; taper gradually under medical supervision. Use caution in elderly, depression/suicidal thoughts, history of substance use disorder, liver disease, respiratory disease (COPD/sleep apnea) and myasthenia gravis. Concomitant use with opioids or other CNS depressants can cause profound sedation, respiratory depression, coma or death. Not for abrupt discontinuation; may worsen seizures.

Alcohol and other CNS depressants (opioids, sedating antihistamines, antipsychotics) increase sedation/respiratory depression; valproate, carbamazepine, phenytoin and phenobarbital may alter clonazepam levels/effects; CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g., ketoconazole, clarithromycin) may increase levels; CYP3A4 inducers (e.g., rifampicin) may decrease effect

Store at room temperature (below 25°C), protected from light and moisture. Keep in original blister pack and out of reach of children.
