Comcort 40mg Injection is a steroid that works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause inflammation (redness and swelling) and allergies. Suppressing the release of inflammatory substances helps relieve symptoms such as pain, swelling, and redness.
Administer by injection only under the supervision of a qualified healthcare professional. Dose and route (IV/IM) depend on the condition being treated; follow the prescribing doctor’s instructions.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
Prescription-only injectable medicine. Use only under medical supervision. Inform your doctor about allergy to any corticosteroids/other medicines, ongoing infections (including TB/fungal/viral), diabetes, hypertension, glaucoma, peptic ulcer, osteoporosis, liver/kidney disease, and if you are pregnant/breastfeeding. Steroids can mask signs of infection; do not stop long-term steroid therapy abruptly.
May interact with anticoagulants (warfarin), antidiabetics/insulin, NSAIDs, diuretics (risk of low potassium), rifampicin, phenytoin, carbamazepine, azole antifungals, macrolide antibiotics, cyclosporine/tacrolimus, live vaccines.
