Coolgi 40 Tablet is used in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (acid reflux) and peptic ulcer disease.
Coolgi 40 Tablet is a proton pump inhibitor (ppi). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in relief of acid related indigestion and heartburn.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Coolgi 40 Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.

Coolgi 40 Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Coolgi 40 Tablet is recommended.However, due to lack of data, exercised should be caution in patients with severe renal insufficiency.
Coolgi 40 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Coolgi 40 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.However, no dose adjustment is required for patients with mild to moderate liver disease.
Headache, Loose motions, Nausea, Stomach pain, Flatulence
Take it on an empty stomach, about half an hour to an hour before your first meal — this is when the acid pumps are most active and the medicine works best. Long-term use has been linked to low magnesium and low vitamin B12, and to a higher risk of bone fracture. Review the need with your doctor rather than continuing indefinitely. Tell your doctor if acidity comes with difficulty swallowing, vomiting, weight loss, or black stools — these need investigation, not a longer course. Do not stop a long course abruptly; acid can rebound. Your doctor will taper it.
Reduces the absorption of some antifungals, iron and certain HIV medicines. Tell your doctor if you take clopidogrel, methotrexate or a blood thinner.
