Relief of occasional constipation, relief of acidity/heartburn and indigestion due to excess stomach acid

Magnesium hydroxide works as an osmotic laxative by drawing water into the intestine, softening stools and promoting bowel movement. It also acts as an antacid by neutralizing stomach acid, giving relief from acidity and heartburn.

Oral suspension: shake well before use and measure with a cup/spoon. For constipation usually taken at bedtime; for acidity/heartburn taken after meals or as directed. Can be taken with or without food; drink adequate water. Follow label/doctor advice for dose and duration.

Diarrhoea, abdominal cramps, nausea, vomiting, flatulence, chalky taste

Do not use for more than a few days for constipation unless advised by a doctor. Use with caution/avoid in kidney disease (risk of high magnesium levels). Avoid if you have severe abdominal pain, intestinal obstruction, or unexplained nausea/vomiting. May cause diarrhoea and dehydration; maintain fluids. Consult doctor for children, pregnancy/breastfeeding, or if symptoms persist.

May reduce absorption of tetracyclines, fluoroquinolones, iron, levothyroxine, bisphosphonates; separate by 2-4 hours. Additive effects with other laxatives; caution with magnesium-containing products.

Store at room temperature (below 25-30°C), protected from heat and light. Keep bottle tightly closed; do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children.
