Nasal congestion (blocked nose) due to common cold, allergic rhinitis or sinusitis (symptomatic relief).
If it contains a topical nasal decongestant, it works by constricting swollen blood vessels in the nasal lining, reducing swelling and mucus production. This opens the nasal passages and improves breathing.
For intranasal use only. Blow nose gently, insert nozzle into nostril and spray as directed on the label or by a doctor; repeat in other nostril if advised. Do not exceed recommended frequency; decongestant nasal sprays should generally not be used for more than 3 consecutive days unless prescribed.
Nasal dryness, burning or stinging sensation, sneezing, throat irritation, headache, rebound congestion with prolonged use
Do not use for prolonged periods as it may cause rebound nasal congestion (rhinitis medicamentosa). Use with caution in hypertension, heart disease, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, glaucoma, enlarged prostate, and in children/elderly—only on medical advice. Stop use and seek medical help if severe irritation, nosebleeds, palpitations, or worsening congestion occurs. Avoid sharing the spray to prevent infection spread.
MAO inhibitors (and within 14 days of stopping), tricyclic antidepressants, other sympathomimetic decongestants; may interact with antihypertensives (reduced effect)
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place, protected from direct light. Keep the bottle tightly closed and out of reach of children.
