Eofil Forte Tablet contains Diethylcarbamazine + Chlorpheniramine Maleate and is used for this medicine is used. Prescription required.

This medicine is used in the treatment of worm infestation, parasitic infection, amoebiasis, giardiasis, allergic rhinitis, hives and skin allergy, itching and allergic asthma.

This medicine combines 2 active ingredients: Diethylcarbamazine and Chlorpheniramine. Diethylcarbamazine paralyses or kills the parasite, so that it is passed out of the body. Chlorpheniramine blocks the chemical messengers your body releases during an allergic reaction, which relieves sneezing, a running nose, watering eyes and itching.

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not chew, crush or break it unless your doctor has told you to. Take it with food. Taking it at about the same time each day helps you remember. Follow the dose and the duration written on your prescription.

Treat the whole household at the same time for worm infestations, or reinfection is likely. Wash hands thoroughly after using the toilet and before eating, keep nails short, and wash bedding and underclothes in hot water. Do not drink alcohol with metronidazole, ornidazole, tinidazole or secnidazole. A repeat dose after a couple of weeks is often advised for worms — follow your doctor's instruction. Older antihistamines cause marked drowsiness — do not drive or operate machinery until you know how this affects you. Tell your doctor promptly about any change in mood, sleep, agitation or unusual thoughts while taking montelukast; this is uncommon but recognised. This relieves the symptoms of an allergy; it does not treat the cause, and it is not a treatment for an acute asthma attack. Seek emergency care for swelling of the lips, tongue or throat, or difficulty breathing.

Tell your doctor if you take anti-epileptic medicines or a blood thinner. Alcohol, sleeping tablets and other sedating medicines add to the drowsiness. Tell your doctor about all cold and cough preparations — many already contain an antihistamine.

Store below 30°C in the original pack, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
