Fluticasone (250mcg) + Salmeterol (25mcg)

Maintenance treatment of asthma; maintenance treatment of COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) with frequent symptoms/exacerbations as advised by a doctor. Not for relief of sudden breathing attacks.

Fluticasone is an inhaled corticosteroid that reduces airway inflammation, swelling and mucus production. Formoterol is a long-acting beta2-agonist that relaxes airway smooth muscle to keep the airways open for long-lasting symptom control.

For inhalation use only via the Transhaler/MDI as prescribed. Use at the same time each day; do not exceed the prescribed dose. Rinse/gargle mouth and spit after each use to reduce risk of oral thrush. Not a rescue inhaler—keep a reliever (e.g., salbutamol) for acute symptoms.

Not for acute bronchospasm or sudden attacks. Use with caution in heart disease, arrhythmias, hypertension, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, glaucoma, osteoporosis, and in patients with seizure disorders. Risk of pneumonia in COPD patients; seek medical help for fever, increased sputum or worsening breathlessness. May cause paradoxical bronchospasm (stop and seek care). Long-term/high-dose inhaled steroids may cause adrenal suppression, reduced bone mineral density, cataract/glaucoma and growth effects in children—use lowest effective dose and monitor.

Beta-blockers (may reduce effect/trigger bronchospasm),other LABA or sympathomimetics (additive effects),MAO inhibitors/tricyclic antidepressants (may increase cardiovascular effects),diuretics (risk of hypokalemia),strong CYP3A4 inhibitors like ritonavir/cobicistat/ketoconazole/itraconazole (increase fluticasone exposure and systemic steroid effects),other QT-prolonging drugs (caution)

Store below 25°C, protected from direct sunlight and moisture. Do not freeze. Keep inhaler canister away from heat/flame; do not puncture or burn even when empty. Keep out of reach of children.
