Freefil SR Tablet contains Doxofylline (400mg) and is used for asthma. Prescription required.

Freefil 400mg Tablet SR is a bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the muscles of the airways and widens airways. This makes breathing easier.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Freefil 400mg Tablet SR may be taken with or without food. Avoid Freefil 400mg Tablet SR with caffeine and chocolate as well as food containing caffeine and chocolate such as tea leaves, cocoa beans.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

See a doctor if a cough lasts more than a week, or comes with fever, breathlessness, chest pain or blood in the sputum. Do not give cough and cold preparations to young children except on a doctor's advice. Do not combine two cough preparations — they frequently contain the same ingredients, and the doses add up. Preparations containing codeine can cause dependence and must be used only for the period your doctor specifies.

Sedating ingredients add to the effect of alcohol and sleeping tablets. Decongestants such as phenylephrine and pseudoephedrine can raise blood pressure — tell your doctor if you are hypertensive.
