Fuciskin Cream contains Fusidic Acid (20mg) and is used for bacterial skin infections. Prescription required.

Treatment of Bacterial skin infections

Fuciskin 20mg Cream is an antibiotic. It works against bacteria that cause skin infections by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins necessary for the survival of bacteria. Thus, it prevents the skin infection from spreading.

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the cream. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Use it for the short course prescribed, usually about a week. Prolonged use of a topical antibiotic breeds resistant bacteria. See a doctor if the area becomes more red, swollen, painful or spreads, or if you develop a fever — a spreading skin infection needs tablets. Clean the area gently before each application. Do not use it on large raw areas or burns unless your doctor has said to.

No significant interactions are expected from preparations used on the skin.

Store below 30°C, away from direct sunlight. Close the cap tightly after each use. Keep out of the reach of children.
