Halovate Lotion contains Halobetasol (0.05% w/w) + Fusidic Acid (2% w/w) and is used for skin infections. Prescription required.

Treatment of Skin infections

Halovate F Cream is a combination of two medicines: Halobetasol and Fusidic Acid which treat skin infections. Halobetasol is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Fusidic Acid is an antibiotic which kills bacteria by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the cream. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Prolonged use may lead to skin thinning and systemic absorption. Avoid use on the face, groin, or underarms unless directed by a physician.

No significant interactions are expected from preparations used on the skin.

Store at room temperature, away from light and moisture.
