Collection of menstrual flow during periods; reusable alternative for adults preferring internal menstrual protection (medium size for moderate flow and average cervix height).

Flexible cup forms a gentle seal against the vaginal wall and collects menstrual blood rather than absorbing it.

Sterilise by boiling 3–5 minutes; fold and insert to sit low in vagina, then rotate to ensure seal; empty, rinse and reinsert every 6–8 hours; after cycle, wash with mild unscented soap, dry completely and store in breathable pouch.

Common: initial discomfort, leakage if incorrect size/position; Serious: toxic shock syndrome (rare), significant vaginal irritation or injury if inserted/removed improperly.

Sterilise before first use and between cycles; wash hands before insertion/removal; empty every 6–8 hours (earlier with heavy flow); stop use and seek care for fever, rash, dizziness, foul discharge or severe pain; do not use during active pelvic infection.

Spermicides/vaginal medications (clotrimazole, metronidazole gel, etc.): may reduce cup sealing/fit and can stain or degrade material; use only if compatible and advised.

Store clean and completely dry at 15–30°C in a breathable bag; avoid airtight containers and direct sunlight.
