Monograph
Cream
Treatment of fungal skin infections such as tinea corporis (ringworm), tinea cruris (jock itch), tinea pedis (athlete’s foot) and other susceptible dermatophyte infections.
Luliconazole is an imidazole antifungal that inhibits fungal ergosterol synthesis by blocking lanosterol 14-α-demethylase. This disrupts the fungal cell membrane, leading to growth inhibition and clearance of infection.
For external use only. Clean and dry the affected area, then apply a thin layer to the affected skin and surrounding area once daily or as prescribed. Wash hands after application; avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and broken skin unless directed.
Application site burning, itching, redness, irritation, dryness, rash
For external use only. Do not apply in eyes, mouth, or vagina. If severe irritation, worsening, or allergic reaction occurs, stop use and consult a doctor. Use with caution on large areas or under occlusive dressings unless advised. If no improvement within the advised treatment period, seek medical advice to confirm diagnosis.
No significant drug interactions expected with topical use; avoid using other topical products on the same area simultaneously unless advised (may increase irritation or alter effect).
