Relief of inflammation and itching in corticosteroid-responsive skin conditions such as eczema (atopic dermatitis), dermatitis, allergic rashes, and psoriasis (limited areas)

Mometasone is a topical corticosteroid that reduces release of inflammatory mediators in the skin. It decreases redness, swelling and itching by suppressing local immune and inflammatory responses.

For external use only. Apply a thin layer to the affected area once daily or as directed by a doctor; rub in gently. Use the smallest amount for the shortest duration; avoid occlusive dressings unless prescribed; wash hands after use.

Burning/stinging, itching, dryness, redness, skin thinning (atrophy), acne/folliculitis, hypopigmentation, striae, secondary infection

Do not use on face, groin or underarms unless advised; avoid eyes, mouth and broken skin. Prolonged use, large-area application, or use under occlusion can cause systemic steroid effects (HPA axis suppression), especially in children. Do not use for untreated bacterial/fungal/viral skin infections; stop and consult doctor if irritation, worsening, or signs of infection occur. Not recommended for diaper rash unless prescribed.

No major interactions expected with topical use; risk of increased systemic corticosteroid effects if used extensively/under occlusion or with other corticosteroids. Inform doctor about other topical medicines used on the same area.

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from light and moisture. Keep cap tightly closed and out of reach of children.
