Treatment of steroid-responsive inflammatory skin conditions with thick/scaly lesions such as psoriasis, chronic eczema/dermatitis, lichen simplex/chronic lichenified dermatitis, and other hyperkeratotic dermatoses as advised by a dermatologist

Mometasone is a topical corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, redness and itching by suppressing inflammatory mediators in the skin. Salicylic acid is a keratolytic that softens and removes scales by breaking down keratin, improving penetration of the steroid into thickened plaques.

For external use only. Apply a thin layer to the affected area once daily or as directed by the doctor; rub in gently. Preferably apply on clean, dry skin; wash hands after use. Avoid use on face, groin, armpits, broken/infected skin unless prescribed; do not cover with occlusive dressing unless advised.

Burning or stinging, itching, dryness, redness/irritation, skin peeling, acne/folliculitis, skin thinning (atrophy), stretch marks, hypopigmentation, secondary infection

Use with caution and for the shortest duration needed; prolonged/large-area use can cause systemic corticosteroid effects (adrenal suppression), especially in children. Avoid contact with eyes and mucosa; do not use on open wounds. Do not use in untreated bacterial, fungal or viral skin infections (e.g., herpes, chickenpox) unless combined with appropriate anti-infective treatment. Not recommended for diaper rash. Stop and consult doctor if severe irritation, worsening, or signs of infection occur.

Other topical irritants/keratolytics (may increase irritation), occlusive dressings (increase absorption), other topical corticosteroids (additive steroid effects). Clinically significant interactions are unlikely with limited topical use.

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Protect from heat and direct light. Keep cap tightly closed and keep out of reach of children.
