Nexito-20 mg Tablet contains Escitalopram Oxalate (20mg). Prescription required.

Treatment of major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (as prescribed)

Escitalopram is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). It increases serotonin levels in the brain by inhibiting its reuptake, helping improve mood and reduce anxiety symptoms.

Take by mouth exactly as prescribed, usually once daily at the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow tablet whole with water; do not stop suddenly without medical advice.

Nausea, headache, dry mouth, dizziness, sleep disturbance (insomnia or sleepiness), fatigue, increased sweating, diarrhea or constipation, decreased appetite, sexual dysfunction

May increase suicidal thoughts/behavior in children, adolescents and young adults especially at the start or with dose changes; monitor closely. Do not stop abruptly—withdrawal symptoms may occur. Use with caution in bipolar disorder/mania, epilepsy, liver or kidney impairment, glaucoma, bleeding disorders, and in elderly (risk of hyponatremia). Risk of serotonin syndrome especially with other serotonergic drugs. May cause QT prolongation at higher doses or in predisposed patients; caution in heart disease/electrolyte imbalance. May impair alertness—avoid driving if drowsy.

MAO inhibitors (contraindicated), linezolid/methylene blue, other serotonergic drugs (triptans, tramadol, lithium, tryptophan, St John’s wort), anticoagulants/antiplatelets/NSAIDs (increased bleeding risk), other QT-prolonging drugs (e.g., amiodarone, sotalol, certain antipsychotics/macrolides), CYP2C19 inhibitors (e.g., omeprazole, esomeprazole) may increase levels, alcohol (additive CNS effects)
