Treatment of fungal skin infections such as seborrhoeic dermatitis (dandruff), pityriasis versicolor, and other superficial dermatophyte/yeast infections as advised by a doctor

Ketoconazole is an imidazole antifungal that inhibits fungal cell membrane (ergosterol) synthesis by blocking lanosterol 14-α-demethylase. This damages the fungal membrane and stops growth of susceptible fungi and yeasts.

For external use only. Apply a thin layer to affected skin/scalp as directed by the physician; avoid eyes, mouth and broken skin. If used on scalp, apply to wet area, lather/spread, leave for a few minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Use regularly for the full prescribed duration.

Burning or stinging at application site, itching, redness, dryness, irritation, peeling, oily or dry hair/scalp, hair texture changes

For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes; rinse with water if contact occurs. Do not apply on open wounds or severely inflamed skin unless advised. Stop use and seek medical advice if severe irritation, allergy (rash, swelling) occurs. Prolonged or extensive use should be under medical supervision, especially in children.

No significant interactions expected with topical use; if using other topical medicines (e.g., corticosteroids, keratolytics, medicated shampoos), use with medical advice to reduce irritation and ensure proper spacing of applications

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct light. Keep container tightly closed. Keep out of reach of children.
