Saccharomyces boulardii (5Billion CFU)

Probiotic/prebiotic supplement used to help restore normal gut flora and support digestion; commonly used as an adjunct in diarrhoea (including antibiotic-associated), indigestion, bloating and gut dysbiosis.

Prebiotics act as food for beneficial gut bacteria, helping them grow. Probiotics replenish healthy microorganisms in the intestine, which can improve gut barrier function and reduce diarrhoea and bloating.

Empty the sachet into water/ORS/milk (as advised) and consume immediately. Usually taken after food. If taking with antibiotics, keep a gap of at least 2 hours or as directed by a doctor.

Use with caution in severely immunocompromised patients, those with central venous catheters, severe acute pancreatitis, or critical illness (rare risk of infection with probiotics). Stop and seek medical advice if fever, persistent vomiting, blood in stools, or diarrhoea persists/worsens. Not a substitute for rehydration in acute diarrhoea. Check label for allergens (may contain dairy/soy) and consult doctor for children/pregnancy if unsure.

Antibiotics (may reduce probiotic effect—separate dosing), antifungals (may inactivate yeast-based probiotics like Saccharomyces boulardii), immunosuppressants (use with caution)

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct light and moisture. Keep sachet tightly sealed until use. Do not use if the sachet is torn or swollen.
