Dry cough, throat irritation, cough due to common cold/upper respiratory tract infection (symptomatic relief)
REECOF DX is typically a cough suppressant formulation. Antitussive ingredients reduce the cough reflex in the brain and may also reduce throat irritation to provide symptomatic relief.
Shake well before use. Measure with a dosing cup/spoon. Take as advised by a doctor; commonly taken 2-3 times daily. Can be taken with or without food. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Drowsiness, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, constipation, dry mouth, stomach upset
May cause drowsiness—avoid driving or operating machinery. Use with caution in liver disease, asthma/COPD, sleep apnea, and in elderly patients. Not recommended for self-use in children unless prescribed. Seek medical advice if cough persists >7 days, is recurrent, or is associated with fever, rash, or persistent headache.
Other sedatives (benzodiazepines), alcohol, opioids, antihistamines, antidepressants/MAO inhibitors (risk of serotonin syndrome with some antitussives), anticholinergic medicines
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct light. Keep the bottle tightly closed. Keep out of reach of children.
