Spadrot M Tablet

Spadrot M Tablet contains Drotaverine (80mg) + Mefenamic Acid (250mg) and is used for pain relief. Prescription required.

Pain relief

Spadrot-M 80mg/250mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Drotaverine and Mefenamic Acid. Drotaverine works by relaxing smooth muscles, which helps relieve spasm-related pain. Mefenamic acid reduces inflammation and pain by lowering the production of pain-causing substances in the body. Together, they help provide effective relief from cramp-like and inflammatory pain.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Spadrot-M 80mg/250mg Tablet should be taken with or after food.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Severe abdominal pain, particularly with fever or vomiting, needs a doctor rather than a painkiller or antispasmodic. May cause blurred vision and drowsiness — do not drive until you know how it affects you. Tell your doctor if you have glaucoma, an enlarged prostate or difficulty passing urine. Take it with or just after food, and for the shortest time that works. Stop and seek urgent care for black or tarry stools, vomiting blood, or severe stomach pain — this group can cause bleeding from the stomach. Long or high-dose use raises the risk of heart attack, stroke and kidney injury, particularly in older people and those already at risk. Avoid if you are dehydrated or have an illness with vomiting or loose motions — the kidneys are vulnerable then. Must be avoided in the last three months of pregnancy.

Adds to the dry mouth, constipation and drowsiness caused by antihistamines and some antidepressants. Combining with a blood thinner or aspirin sharply raises the bleeding risk. Reduces the effect of blood pressure medicines and water tablets, and together with them can harm the kidneys. Never take two anti-inflammatory painkillers at the same time.

Store below 30°C in the original pack, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
