Sputhil X Tablet

Sputhil X Tablet contains Ambroxol (30mg) + N-Acetyl L-Cysteine (200mg). Prescription required.

Sputhil X Tablet is used to prevent chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Sputhil X Tablet is a combination of two mucolytic medicines: Acetylcysteine and ambroxol. It thins and loosens mucus (phlegm) making it easier to cough out.

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not chew, crush or break it unless your doctor has told you to. Take it with or after food. Taking it at about the same time each day helps you remember. Follow the dose and the duration written on your prescription.

See a doctor if a cough lasts more than a week, or comes with fever, breathlessness, chest pain or blood in the sputum. Do not give cough and cold preparations to young children except on a doctor's advice. Do not combine two cough preparations — they frequently contain the same ingredients, and the doses add up. Preparations containing codeine can cause dependence and must be used only for the period your doctor specifies.

Sedating ingredients add to the effect of alcohol and sleeping tablets. Decongestants such as phenylephrine and pseudoephedrine can raise blood pressure — tell your doctor if you are hypertensive.

Store below 30°C in the original pack, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
