Treatment of Benign prostatic hyperplasia

Tamcontin 0.2 Tablet CR is an alpha blocker. It works by relaxing the muscles around the bladder exit and prostate gland so urine is passed more easily. This helps empty the bladder and reduces the need to pass urine frequently or urgently in benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Tamcontin 0.2 Tablet CR may be taken with or without food.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

This is a prescription-only medicine. Take it exactly as your doctor has directed, for the period directed. Do not share it with anyone else, even if their symptoms seem the same. Tell your doctor about every other medicine, supplement and herbal product you take. Report any unexpected or severe symptom to your doctor rather than stopping on your own.
