Telmisoor - 40MG Tab

Telmisoor - 40MG Tab contains Telmisartan 40 mg (as telmisartan) tablet. Prescription required.

Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure); reduction of cardiovascular risk in high-risk patients when appropriate as per physician advice

Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). It blocks AT1 receptors, causing blood vessels to relax and reducing aldosterone effects, which lowers blood pressure and decreases strain on the heart.

Oral tablet. Take exactly as prescribed, usually once daily at the same time each day. Can be taken with or without food. Do not stop suddenly without medical advice; monitor blood pressure regularly.

Avoid use in pregnancy (can harm the fetus) and stop immediately if pregnancy occurs. Use with caution in kidney disease, liver impairment, dehydration/low blood volume, and in the elderly due to risk of hypotension and kidney function worsening. Monitor serum creatinine and potassium, especially after initiation or dose changes. Risk of hyperkalemia, particularly with potassium supplements/diuretics. Not recommended with aliskiren in diabetes; avoid dual blockade with ACE inhibitors/other ARBs unless specifically advised.

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Protect from moisture and direct light. Keep in original blister until use and out of reach of children.
