Terrycof Syrup 100 ml

Terrycof Syrup 100 ml contains Bromhexine (4mg/5ml) + Guaifenesin (50mg/5ml) + Menthol (1mg/5ml) + Terbutaline (1.25mg/5ml) and is used for cough. Prescription required.

Treatment of Cough

Bromhexine is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Guaifenesin is an expectorant which works by decreasing the stickiness of airway secretions and helps in their removal from the airways. Menthol is an organic compound which produces a sensation of coolness and relieves minor throat irritation. Terbutaline is a bronchodilator which relaxes the muscles in the airways and widens the airways.Together, they make breathing easier.

Shake well before use. Measure the dose with a cup/spoon and take by mouth as advised by a doctor. Can be taken with or without food; take at the same time each day if prescribed regularly.

Do not drive or operate machinery if the syrup causes drowsiness or dizziness. Use with caution in asthma/COPD, liver or kidney disease, glaucoma, enlarged prostate/urinary retention, and in elderly patients. Avoid use in children unless specifically prescribed. Seek medical advice if cough persists beyond 7 days, is accompanied by fever, rash, or persistent headache, or if breathing difficulty occurs. Do not use multiple cough/cold products together without medical advice.

Store at room temperature (below 25°C), protected from light and moisture. Keep the bottle tightly closed. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children.
