Bacterial eye infections with associated inflammation, such as bacterial conjunctivitis and blepharitis; steroid-responsive inflammatory ocular conditions where bacterial infection or risk of infection exists.
Tobramycin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis, killing susceptible bacteria. Fluorometholone is a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, redness, swelling and itching by suppressing inflammatory mediators in the eye.
For ophthalmic use only. Instill the prescribed number of drops into the affected eye(s) as directed by the doctor. Wash hands, avoid touching the dropper tip, and close the eye for 1–2 minutes after instillation. If using other eye medicines, keep a 5–10 minute gap; remove contact lenses and reinsert only if advised.
Burning/stinging, eye irritation, blurred vision (temporary), redness, watery eyes, itching, foreign body sensation, dry eyes
Use only under medical supervision. Prolonged steroid use may increase intraocular pressure, cause glaucoma, cataract, delayed wound healing, and secondary infections (including fungal/viral); avoid use in viral (e.g., herpes simplex), fungal or mycobacterial eye infections unless prescribed. Do not use for longer than advised; monitoring of eye pressure may be needed if used >10 days. Stop and seek care if severe pain, vision changes, worsening redness/swelling, or allergic reaction occurs.
Other ophthalmic medicines (separate by 5–10 minutes), contact lens solutions/preservatives may irritate; medicines that can raise intraocular pressure when combined with ocular steroids may increase risk; systemic interactions are unlikely with topical ocular use.
Store at or below 25°C, protect from light, do not freeze. Keep bottle tightly closed. Discard as per label/doctor advice after opening (commonly within 4 weeks).
