Before you take it
Urimax 0.4 Capsule MR is probably safe to use during pregnancy.<br/>Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Urimax 0.4 Capsule MR is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Taking tamsulosin with alcohol may lower your blood pressure. This can cause dizziness or feeling like you might pass out, especially when getting up from a sitting or lying position.
May cause drowsiness or affect your concentration. Do not drive until you know how it affects you.
Urimax 0.4 Capsule MR is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Urimax 0.4 Capsule MR is recommended.<br/>However, limited information is available on the use of Urimax 0.4 Capsule MR in patients with end stage kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.
Urimax 0.4 Capsule MR should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Urimax 0.4 Capsule MR may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Urimax 0.4 Capsule MR is an alpha blocker. It works by relaxing the muscles around the bladder exit and prostate gland so urine is passed more easily. This helps empty the bladder completely and reduces the need to pass urine frequently or urgently in BPH.
Take as directed by the physician, usually once daily. Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the capsule.
