Uv Doux Oc Fluid Sunscreen is a medicine containing Octinoxate 7.5% w/w, Oxybenzone 3% w/w, Zinc Oxide 5% w/w (sunscreen lotion/fluid base). It is used for broad-spectrum photoprotection to help prevent sunburn, tanning, photoaging, adjunct protection in photosensitive conditions and post-procedure skincare as advised by a dermatologist.
For external use only. The dose and how long you take it depend on what you are being treated for and how you respond. Do not take more, or for longer, than your doctor has advised.
The side effects seen most often with Uv Doux Oc Fluid Sunscreen are mild burning or stinging, redness, itching and dryness. Most are mild and settle as the body gets used to the medicine. Tell your doctor if one persists or worries you.
Before you start, tell your doctor about any liver, kidney or heart problem, whether you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding, and every other medicine you take, including supplements and ayurvedic preparations. Some of them can change how Uv Doux Oc Fluid Sunscreen works.
Most side effects of Uv Doux Oc Fluid Sunscreen are mild and settle as the body gets used to the medicine. The ones reported most often are:
Stop the medicine and get help at once for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.
For external use only. Apply generously and evenly on face/neck and other exposed areas 15–20 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply every 2–3 hours and after swimming, sweating, or towel-drying. Can be used daily; suitable under makeup. Avoid contact with eyes and broken/irritated skin.
UV Doux OC Fluid combines organic UV filters (octinoxate, oxybenzone) that absorb UVA/UVB rays with zinc oxide, a physical filter that reflects and scatters UV radiation. This reduces UV-induced skin damage and pigmentation.
Patch test if you have sensitive skin. Stop use and consult a doctor if severe irritation, swelling or allergy occurs. Avoid eyes; rinse with water if contact occurs. Not for infants unless advised by a doctor. Sunscreens are part of sun protection—use protective clothing and limit midday sun exposure. Some ingredients (e.g., oxybenzone) may rarely cause allergy in susceptible individuals.
Take it as soon as you remember. If your next dose is almost due, skip the one you missed — never take two doses together to catch up.
An overdose of this medicine is unlikely from skin use; swallowing the preparation may cause stomach upset. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep the cap tightly closed; do not freeze.
