How It Works
Tadalafil is a phosphodiesterase type-5 (PDE5) inhibitor. It increases cGMP levels in the penis during sexual stimulation, improving blood flow and helping achieve and maintain an erection.
Directions for Use
Tablet for oral use. Take as advised by doctor; commonly for ED, take 1 tablet 30–60 minutes before sexual activity; do not take more than once in 24 hours. Can be taken with or without food; avoid heavy/high-fat meals and grapefruit juice if possible.
Not for women/children. Do not use with nitrates (e.g., nitroglycerin/isosorbide) due to severe hypotension risk. Use caution in heart disease, recent heart attack/stroke, uncontrolled blood pressure, severe liver or kidney disease. Seek urgent care for chest pain, sudden vision/hearing loss, or erection lasting >4 hours (priapism). May cause dizziness—avoid driving if affected.
Drug Interactions
Nitrates and nitric oxide donors (contraindicated), riociguat (contraindicated), alpha-blockers and other antihypertensives (additive BP lowering), strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (ketoconazole, itraconazole, ritonavir, clarithromycin), CYP3A4 inducers (rifampicin, carbamazepine, phenytoin), other PDE5 inhibitors, excessive alcohol
