Depilatory cream (typically contains calcium thioglycolate/potassium thioglycolate as hair-removing agent; exact composition varies by pack)

Removal of unwanted body hair in men (e.g., chest, arms, legs, underarms)

Depilatory agents (thioglycolates) break the disulfide bonds in keratin of the hair shaft. This dissolves/weaken the hair so it can be wiped off from the skin surface.

For external use only. Apply an even layer on clean, dry skin to fully cover hair; do not rub in. Leave on for the time stated on the pack (do not exceed). Test a small area first; wipe off with spatula/cloth and rinse thoroughly with water; pat dry. Avoid use on face, scalp, genitals/perianal area or broken/irritated skin.

Skin irritation, burning/stinging, redness, itching, rash, dryness, allergic reaction

Do a patch test 24 hours before each use. Do not use on broken, inflamed, sunburnt or recently shaved skin. Avoid eyes and mucosa; rinse with plenty of water if contact occurs. Do not exceed recommended application time; overuse can cause chemical burns. Stop use if severe burning/irritation occurs. Keep out of reach of children. Consult a doctor if you have skin disease or if irritation persists.

Not known; avoid using with other strong topical irritants/exfoliants or immediately after/with retinoids, AHAs/BHAs or fragranced aftershaves on the same area to reduce irritation risk

Store at room temperature, below 25°C. Keep cap tightly closed. Protect from heat and direct sunlight.
